Percifield Family

After finishing up four years at Westminster Theological Seminary, and moving from Glenside, Pennsylvania to Lubbock, Texas a year ago, the Percifield Family is finally settling into life in the South Plains and are as excited as ever to be ministering to college students through Reformed University Fellowship at Texas Tech University.

Fall 2009 marks the ninth year of RUF as the official campus ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) on the Texas Tech campus. For more that 25 years, RUF across the nation has been reaching students for Christ and equipping them to serve. Though receiving oversight from the PCA and wonderful support from Providence Presbyterian Church, RUF chapters are non-denominational in terms of their fellowship. Students from a wide variety of religious backgrounds and denominations are involved in RUF at Tech.

Steve and Kelly met in their college years while working as counselors at Camp Ozark and after graduating from Texas Christian University and Vanderbilt, they married and settled in Fort Worth, Texas for eight years.

Steve worked as an Athletic Trainer at Southwest High School and then in scholastic sales while Kelly taught school until staying home with their children.

During this time, the ministry of Fort Worth Presbyterian Church and the opportunity to volunteer with RUF at TCU both proved instrumental in drawing Steve and Kelly to full-time campus ministry. This led the Percifields to Westminster Theological Seminary where Steve pursued a Master’s in Divinity and training in Biblical Counseling.
